Personalized Curriculum Design

At the beginning of each year, your child will be given a strengths and learning style assessment, along with academic assessments. This allows us to personalize your child's education, using their strengths as a guide. 

Student-Directed Learning

Students are encouraged to think for themselves and to persue the topics that interest them. Throughout each day your child will have a healthy balance of teacher-led instruction coupled with student-led exploration.

What do you charge for tuition?

We are currently offering the following programs:

$2520 per year ($280 per month)

2 day programs:

Kindergarten-

Monday/Wednesday 9:30-2:30

 

1st and 2nd grades-

Tuesday/Thursday 9:30-2:30

*There is a one-time, non refundable registration fee of $125 due upon enrollment. This secures your child's spot and covers curriculum and supply costs for your child.

We accept funds from the Utah Fits All and Open Ed Scholarships.

What ages do you teach?

For the 2026-2027 school year, we will be teaching kindergarten through 2nd grade. 

What is the student-to-teacher ratio at Rising Phoenix Microschool?

We keep our groups between 10-12 students per teacher. This allows us to povide each child with the best instruction possible and with the personal attention they need to truly thrive. 

We offer open enrollment throughout the year. As long as there is space in a class, we welcome you to join us! We also offer a wait list when space fills up.

How do you teach in a mixed age group setting?

There is much research supporting the benefits of education in a mixed age group setting. We fully utilize small group instruction, peer mentoring, and self-directed learning to ensure that all students are meeting their personlized educational goals. 

What curriculum do you use for Math and Reading?

For Language Arts we use Treasure Hunt Reading, Blossom and Root, and Reading Eggs. For Math instruction, we use Wild Math, Math Seeds, and Math U See. We have access to a wide variety of curricula to ensure that your child is learning to mastery. We also welcome any curricula that you have loved for your family.

What extracurricular activities does Rising Phoenix Microschool offer?

A huge part of what makes us unique is the supplemental activities your child will have access to. Apart from a highly customized education in the core subjects, your child will engage in real-world collaborative projects, community outreach activities, science experiments, civics and history, mentoring, Montessori learning, art, music, cooking, gardening, nature activites, STEM, entreprenuership, field trips, and so much more!

How does Rising Phoenix Microschool personalize education for each student?

We create individualized learning plans for each student based on their strengths, interests, and goals. Each subject is taught using all three learning modalities (kinesthetic, visual, and auditory) to ensure a comprehensive understanding. 

Do you teach religion?

We accept students from all backgrounds and walks of life. However, our curriculum is 100% secular to allow parents the freedom to teach their children in their own way at home. 

How can parents get involved?

Parents are welcome to play as big of a role in their child's education as they desire. Parents are always welcome to volunteer in the class, on field trips, and during class events and parties. Tuition discounts are offered to parents who are willing to help consistently in the classroom as aides, substitutes, or specials teachers.
