What is the student-to-teacher ratio at Rising Phoenix Microschool?

We keep our groups between 10-12 students per teacher. This allows us to povide each child with the best instruction possible and with the personal attention they need to truly thrive. 

What ages do you teach?

We work with children ages 6 to 11. 

How do you teach in a mixed age group setting?

There is much research supporting the benefits of education in a mixed age group setting. We fully utilize small group instruction, peer mentoring, and self-directed learning to ensure that all students are meeting their personlized educational goals. 

What extracurricular activities does Rising Phoenix Microschool offer?

A huge part of what makes us unique is the supplemental activities your child will have access to. Apart from a highly customized education in the core subjects, your child will engage in real-world collaborative projects, community outreach activities, science experiments, civics and history, mentoring, Montessori learning, art, music, cooking, gardening, nature activites, STEM, entreprenuership, field trips, and so much more!

What curriculum do you use for Math and Reading?

Rising Phoenix Microschool is powered by Prenda. This means we primarily use Prenda's online learning platform. However, to supplement online learning, we use Wonders Reading, Treasure Hunt Reading, Blossom and Root, Wild Math, and Illustrative Math. We have access to a wide variety of curricula to ensure that your child is learning to mastery.

What do you charge for tuition?

We offer two different programs:

4 day program:

Monday-Thursday 9am-3pm

$8500 per year

 

3 day program

Choose any 3 days between Monday and Thursday 9am-3pm

$7500 per year

 

Our yearly tuition fees are all inclusive and include field trips, lunches, snacks, and basic supplies. 

Because we are powered by Prenda, we accept funds from the Utah Fits All and Open Ed Scholarships. 

How does Rising Phoenix Microschool personalize education for each student?

We create individualized learning plans for each student based on their strengths, interests, and goals. Through the Prenda online platform, students can set their own learning goals and track progress in real time. Parents, teachers, and students will have access to this information and know how students are doing at any time throughout the year.

Do you teach religion?

We accept students from all backgrounds and walks of life. However, our curriculum is 100% secular to allow parents the freedom to teach their children in their own way at home.
